More and more people want to become influencers on Instagram or Facebook and engage in influencer marketing.
In a previous post we have already reported on the Content Creator Protocol from the Flemish Media Regulator, an influencer code that vloggers and influencers must take into account when engaging in influencer marketing.
The Flemish government also launched this week a so-called InfluencerFAQ. This is a platform where advice, tips and tricks are given on influencer marketing. This involved existing influencers but also organizations such as Mediawijs, VLESP, Sensoa, Child Focus, Vlaams Instituut Gezond Leven, Eetexpert, Unia, etc.
If you are an influencer on Facebook or Instagram, this platform offers very valuable information. To be clear, it is not about new binding rules, but the FAQ does provide answers in understandable language to various questions influencers struggle with on legal topics such as hate speech, taxes, copyright and data protection. It is divided into six categories, being: 1TP5Advertising, #privacy, #isdaterover, #respect, #hoewist and #isdatlegit. The web platform will be updated in the future to cover other topics as well.
